Medium Format Landscape Photography in New Zealand's South Island - Day 6
Share
The medium format digital camera is awesome for landscape photography. In todays video, I share with you my landscape photos from my sixth day on New Zealand's South Island. This is part of a series of videos that take me on a multi day journey with the Fujifilm GFX 50sII. The spirit of the journey is adventure and to experience new challenges. It follows the mountains in New Zealand South Island to photograph glaciers.

The Fujifilm GFX cameras have many aspect ratios to choose from, and one of them is panoramic aspect ratio that resembles there Hasselblad X-Pan 65 x 24 film camera. All the photos from this day were taken using the 65 x 24 aspect ratio, which provides the same aspect ratio 17 x 6 film cameras.
I find that this aspect ratio works well of the New Zealand landscapes. Perhaps this is because of the amount of time I had in each area, and that my usual square format photos are more suited to intimate style photos, which take longer to discover. However, I do like the look of the 65 x 24 aspect ratio and I think they will do well in future print sales.
