Every artwork is made to order and shipped with care. Below is everything you need to know about production, shipping costs, delivery times, and what to do if anything goes wrong along the way.
1. Made to Order and Production Time
Every artwork is made to order. Each piece is printed on genuine ILFORD black and white photographic paper and framed to order at a specialist fine art lab: WhiteWall in Germany for Europe, the United Kingdom and North America, and PCL Imaging in Auckland for New Zealand and Australia. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships. Please allow 5 to 7 days before your artwork is dispatched; nothing sits in a warehouse. Books and smaller items typically ship within 2 to 4 business days. Once your order is on its way, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.
2. Shipping Costs
Artwork: shipping is free worldwide on all artwork orders. Every piece travels tracked, in art secure specialty packaging.
Books and other products: shipping costs vary based on the destination and are calculated at checkout.
3. Estimated Delivery Times
After the short production window, typical tracked delivery times for artwork are:
- Europe: within a few days of dispatch
- United Kingdom: about one week
- USA and Canada: about one to two weeks
- Australia and New Zealand: about two to three weeks in total from order to delivery
- Rest of the world: timing varies by destination; contact us for an estimate before ordering if timing matters
These timeframes are estimates and can be affected by factors outside our control, such as customs processing or carrier delays.
4. International Shipping, Duties and Taxes
Orders delivered to Europe, the United Kingdom, the USA and New Zealand arrive with nothing further to pay.
Australian orders over AU$1,000, Canadian orders and some other international deliveries can attract an import charge at the border, set by local authorities. You will never be out of pocket for it: your price already allows for these charges, so if you are asked to pay anything to receive your artwork, send us the customs receipt and we refund it in full.
If the carrier or a customs authority asks you for information or payment to complete delivery, please respond promptly so your order is not held up, then send us the receipt and we will make it right.
5. Tracking Your Order
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking to update, and keep an eye on the shipment's progress. If the carrier reports an issue, contact them promptly, and reach out to us if you need help.
6. Lost or Delayed Shipments
If your order does not arrive within the estimated window, please first check your tracking details for customs or delivery notices. If further assistance is required, contact us at stephen@stephen-milner.com with your order number. We will investigate the delay with our shipping partners and provide an update or arrange a replacement if necessary.
7. Incorrect Shipping Address
Please double check your shipping details before completing your order. If an incorrect address is provided and the package is undeliverable, we will assist in reshipping it, but additional shipping charges may apply.
8. Split Shipments
If your order contains more than one item, it may arrive in separate packages. Each shipment will have its own tracking number.
9. Shipping Restrictions
We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Orders must be sent to a physical address.
10. Delivery Issues
If your order is marked as delivered but you cannot find it, please check with neighbours, your local post office or building management. If you are still unable to locate the package, contact us at stephen@stephen-milner.com and we will help.
11. Damaged Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective or misprinted, contact us within 30 days with photos and your order number. It will be replaced at no extra cost or fully refunded. See our Returns and Refunds policy for full details.
