Medium format landscape photography and film cameras are made for each other. In today’s video, we will be creating some beautiful square format slide film photos with my Mamiya 6 medium format film camera and Fujifilm Velvia 50. I hope you enjoy the video.
I’m really happy with these photos. Editing them was not easy because the film had expired a few months ago, and there was some colour shift in the shadow areas that were difficult to change. However, I was surprised with how much detail the film retained in the shadow areas. Using a graduated filter and adding two stops of exposure compensation did help with the shadow recovery.
