New Zealand Landscape Photographer uses Ilford Ortho Plus 80

A New Zealand landscape photographer story.
New Zealand landscape photographer Stephen Milner uses Ilford Ortho Plus 80 for long exposures. Long exposure photography is a wonderful art form. In todays video, we create some beautiful black and white photos. We use long exposure techniques to photograph a waterfall in New Zealand called Huka Falls. We create some square format black and white images with my Mamiya 6 medium format film camera and Ilford Ortho Plus 80. My film is developed at home using Ilfotec DD-X. I hope you enjoy the video.
In this video, I test the B+W Green 061 3x filter on Ilford Ortho Plus 80. I was hoping that the green filter would brighten green and darken blue and red. However, in my photos I do not think it added much, except for some minor contrast increase in the green foliage areas. The green filter requires an increase in exposure by 1.5 to 2 stops. However, a natural density filter will do the same.
I like the long exposure effects in the water. It adds a nice contrast between the sharp foliage areas and the water. I enjoy using natural forms like rivers as compositional tools in my photos. I like how the water helps my eyes to move through the photos.
