The Three Sisters are tall sea stacks on the Tongaporutu coast of Taranaki, on the North Island's wild west coast. Carved and reshaped by the Tasman Sea, they stand offshore on a beach that all but disappears at high tide.
Stephen Milner photographed the stacks in black and white, the rock and its mirrored reflection rising from the wet sand under a dramatic sky.
Printed to order at a specialist fine art lab and finished by hand:
-
Under acrylic glass. The print is face mounted behind matte acrylic glass on a rigid backing and sealed for life, for deep blacks, a glare free surface and a true gallery finish.
-
In a Basel frame. A solid 15mm moulding with a shadow gap that sets the image just proud of the wall, in black matte, white, natural oak or walnut.
Available in three sizes from 107cm to 160cm on the long edge. Custom sizes on request.
Part of Stephen Milner's New Zealand fine art landscape collection.
