Two trees stand in winter fog on the Waikato farmland near Pirongia, in the central North Island — one bare and close, the other distant and half-lost in the mist. The contrast between them gives the piece its name.
Stephen Milner photographed the pair in black and white in medium format, the fog setting the near tree sharp against the vanishing far one.
Printed to order at a specialist fine art lab, in two archival finishes:
-
Under Acrylic Glass. The print is face mounted behind matte acrylic glass for deep blacks, a glare free surface and a true gallery finish. Framed in a Basel or Slimline frame.
-
On Alu-Dibond. The print is bonded to a lightweight aluminium panel and sealed with a matte protective film for a clean, contemporary look. Framed in a Basel or ArtBox frame.
Available in three sizes from 80cm to 120cm square. Custom sizes on request.
