Punakaiki's Pancake Rocks stand on the exposed West Coast of the South Island, in Paparoa National Park, where high winds and sea spray sculpt the layered limestone. Capturing them clearly took Stephen three days of returning through the salt-laden coastal weather.
Stephen Milner photographed the wind-carved formations in black and white, the stacked stone and breaking surf held in a single frame.
Printed to order at a specialist fine art lab, in two archival finishes:
-
Under Acrylic Glass. The print is face mounted behind matte acrylic glass for deep blacks, a glare free surface and a true gallery finish. Framed in a Basel or Slimline frame.
-
On Alu-Dibond. The print is bonded to a lightweight aluminium panel and sealed with a matte protective film for a clean, contemporary look. Framed in a Basel or ArtBox frame.
Available in three panoramic sizes from 107cm to 196cm wide. Custom sizes on request.
Part of Stephen Milner's New Zealand fine art landscape collection.
