Current Digital Camera
fujifilm gfx 50s II
My current digital camera is the Fujifilm GFX 50S II. The Fujifilm GFX 50S II is a 43.8mm x 32.9mm 51.4MP medium format camera with an X-Processor 4 chip. The physical size of its sensor is 1.7x of a 35mm sensor. It has an incredible dynamic range due to its unique light-collecting pixel design. There are nineteen film simulations that replicate Fujifilm’s traditional film stocks. The in-body stabilisation provides up to 6.5-stops of vibration reduction. The body is 37.1 ounces (900g) and measures 4.1 inches (104.2mm) high and 3.4 inches (87.2mm) deep. The construction is highly rigid magnesium alloy, and it is weather-resistant and will operate at 14F (-10°C). The GFX50S II features a pixel shift multi-shot function that is capable of creating 200MP images. The two lenses I use are; Fujinon GF32-64mmF4 R LM WR and the Fujinon GF100-200MMF5.6 R LM OIS WR.

LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY BACKPACKS
The camera backpacks that I use are F-Stop backpacks. They produce many types of camera backpacks, and I like to use is their Mountain Series Backpacks. They come in different sizes, and their construction is robust. These backpacks house removable compartments that are called ICU’s. The ICU’s are available in various sizes, and they hold your photography equipment. There are two F-Stop backpacks that I own. The first one is the Tilopa, its size is 50L, and I use this for a day backpack or lightweight overnight hiking. LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY TRIPOD
When I am creating my landscape photographs, I prefer to use a tripod to ensure I photograph sharp photos. Most of the time, I am taking photographs during sunset and sunrise, which is when the luminosity level of light is low, and I use filters, which means a tripod must be used. It is essential to use a tripod and ball head that is stable enough to hold your camera equipment in windy conditions. The tripod I use is made by Leofoto, it is a three section ten layer carbon fibre tripod, and the ball head I use is the Sirui K10X. The tripod set up is very stable.

LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY FILTERS
Filters are an essential tool in my landscape photography kit. Filters will create long exposure effects and will control the bright sky in high dynamic range landscapes. I use the 75mm NiSi filters, and there are two types that I use. The first type is a graduated filter; they are medium edge and hard-edge graduated filters, and they are two-stop and three-stop. The graduated filter will control the bright sky. The second type is a three-stop and a six-stop natural density filter, and I use them for creating long exposure effects. Sometimes, I use a polariser for removing glare on the surface of water, rocks or leaves.

HOW I DIGITALISE MY FILM
There is a process I go through to digitalise my film using the tools that I have. My film is digitalised at home using my Epson V800 flatbed scanner with LaserSoft Imaging SilverFast Ai Studio 8 scanner software. This set-up will scan medium format film that will print on A3+ paper. I use a dust cover over my Epson V800 to prevent dust build up in the scanner. I use a Giottos Rocket Air Blower to remove dust off by film and my scanner. I use the PEAK TS1961 Fixed Focus Loupe, 10X Magnification to look at my film on an A3 light table. Once I have scanned my film, I store it in the Print File 120-4B film selves.

HOW I PRINT AND MOUNT MY LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHS AT HOME
Printing your photos is rewarding, and it will help improve your photography. There is nothing better than seeing a print of your work. There is a sense of achievement when you hold a print of your best photograph for the first time. Not only is it rewarding but, it will help you improve your photography. When you print, there is a process you will go through that will give you a better understanding of sharpness, composition, luminosity, contrast, colour and distraction. When you print your work, any weaknesses in your photos will stand out, which is why it is essential to print.
The printer I use to print my photographs is the Canon Pixma Pro 1; it has 12 pigment inks, and it will print to archival standards. Before I Print my photos, I make sure my computer display is colour calibrated with the X-Rite Colour Munki Display, which makes sure that you print what you see on your computer. I print my photos on archival grade acid-free paper made by Hahnemuhle. I mount my photos on an acid-free backing board, and my photos are matted using an acid-free mat board. I use the Logan 350-1 Compact Elite Mat Cutter 32" to cut my backing and mat board.

MEDIUM FORMAT 120 SLIDE FILM THAT I USE
Slide film (also known as colour reversal film or colour positive film) is beautiful. There is nothing better than looking at your slide film on a light table and seeing your images in colour. However, it can be tricky to make a correct exposure because of its narrow dynamic range. Slide film has 5 stops of dynamic range. To expose it correctly, it is essential to use a light meter, add exposure compensation and use graduated filters. For long exposures, it is essential to be familiar with its reciprocity failure times. The development of slide film is an E6 process.
